SPIC participates in the 2nd Inner Mongolia International Energy Conference

August 10th – 11th, the 2nd Inner Mongolia International Energy Conference was held at Ordos International Convention and Exhibition Center. Jiang Yi, deputy secretary and general manager of State Power Investment Corporation (SPIC), attended the meeting and delivered a speech.

The theme of the conference is “Exploring a new path of high-quality energy development based on ecological priority and green development”. Hosted by the Inner Mongolia Grassland Culture Protection and Development Foundation and sponsored by the Ordos Municipal Government, the conference gathers lots of domestic and foreign experts, scholars and outstanding entrepreneurs. They exchanged extensively on modern energy economy in Inner Mongolia and commit to explore new ways to develop high-quality and ecology-oriented green energy.

Jiang Yi stressed that Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region is China’s important energy and strategic resource base., enjoying remarkable advantages of clean energy resources. The high-quality development of energy economy in this region is of great significance to safeguard China’s national energy security.

He also pointed out that in the next step, SPIC will continue to give full play to the advantages of technology and the whole industry chain, thus to create a new energy highland with strong market competitiveness”. Besides, it will further explore “innovative development mode to vigorously promote photovoltaic sand control” and  develop recycling economy to extend the coal power industry chain, and insist on exploiting nuclear energy heating and hydrogen energy.
