Perception and reality of the nuclear in India

Amritesh Shrivastav, senior manager of Nuclear Power Corporation of India (NPCIL) was present as a keynote speaker during a two day seminar on ‘Indian vision of advertising and public relations’. On this occasion, he said that expansion in the energy sector in India would be possible only by the development of nuclear energy and explained the perception and reality of the nuclear in India.

“In today’s changing environment, there is a need to explain the technical and factual topics related to nuclear energy in a very simple and interesting manner, which creates public awareness towards this topic. It is our duty to explain the activities of public and public relations in the field of nuclear energy, as well as to inform about the efforts being made to disconnect the misconceptions related to nuclear energy that are spreading in people’s minds.”Declared Mr. Shrivastav.

Dr. Sachchidanand Joshi, Member Secretary of Indira Gandhi National Center for Arts, stated that during the advertising and public relations activities “ we should take care more of the Indian society, the family, and our culture” but other speakers alleged that there are many misconceptions in society about nuclear radiation, they can be overcome by social and psychological communication activities and public relations.
