Huawei proposes to Libya to build a solar power plant

Chinese company “Huawei” proposed an offer to establish a 250 MW solar power plant for Libya.

According to a statement issued by the Tripoli Security Directorate on 9th of September, a technical meeting was held at the Directorate’s Office headed by the Director of Security and Assistant for Security Affairs with a delegation from the Chinese company, within the framework of activating the file to solve the crisis of power outages.

The meeting included several points, including how to work to reduce energy consumption using LED lamps in homes and roads, while making use of solar energy in Libya.

The Chinese company made another offer on the supply of one million “LED” energy-saving lamps.
