Ankara Chamber of Industry (ASO) 1st Organized Industrial Zone (OSB) will be doubled with the new investment. The OSB contributes approximately US$ 2 billion of exports and US$ 7 billion to the domestic output annually and employs 50,000 people.

Nedim Durukan, the President of OSB said that 16,000 personnel needed in nuclear power plants will be trained and certified in their own schools and that the project is expected to be completed before 2023. He added that nuclear power will make a big contribution to the industry of Ankara, in addition to the production of electric buses, metrobuses, armored vehicles, Boeing aircraft parts and that the products of the zone will be further developed and enriched.

Durukan said that the support of the government is of great importance for the increase of investment and employment. He explained that the OSB spends almost an equal cost for the infrastructure of the site as for the site itself per m2 and sells it to investors. So that if the site price increases, the investors may allocate more resources to their investments.
