African Chamber of Energy is exploring for energy poverty solutions

The new African committee on energy transition within the African Chamber of Energy is exploring the energy poverty solutions.

Nj Ayuk, president of the African Energy Chamber, declared that Africa could not discuss this energy transition without considering energy poverty and the need to create an inclusive energy industry that creates jobs.

This entity is thus committed to building an energy industry that works for all but remains concerned about the predominance of an international discourse that would impose itself on the continent to the detriment of Africans’ best interests.

As the continent recovers from Covid-19, the Chamber will work on promoting solutions and opportunities that prioritize the provision of affordable and reliable energy to Africans while creating jobs and supporting entrepreneurship locally.
